The Meditation Village in Japan arranged a meditation retreat for locals

During June 26-28, 2015, Wat phra Dhammakaya Gumma, Japan, arranged a meditation retreat for locals. This meditation retreat was well participated by a group of 10 Japanese college students and 1 teacher, under the persuasion of Ven. Phramaha Pongsak Dhaniyo.

I was introduced to the Dhammakaya Temple because of my occupation as a journalist. I was asked to do a news report on the Dhammakaya Temple. The atmosphere during that time was very serious because there were many negative news reports against the temple. It seemed suspicious to people.

Living in peace is the way that we practice what we should do to others and ourselves with right understanding. Those who practice the teaching of each chapter in this book wisely or bring the teaching to their daily life practice will live in peace without worry.

What I received from Meditation

I had a strong feeling that I'd gain a lot of benefits from meditation and what I thought was right. From the very first moments I was there, I felt unbelievable joy and did not feel any worries. Being a part of this meditation program has been such an amazing experience.

What demerit caused her mother to be paralyzed, have diabetes, and have both her legs amputated? A good example of dedicated family, a man who studied major in law and had never believe in Law of Kammar finally changed his opinion after he heard a Dhamma teaching from Ven. Datta. Now, he quitted smoking and drinking and paid more attention on studying Buddhism. He and his wife lost a job during IMF period but now they owned a business. His daughter came to the temple since she was 3 years old and his son also loves to watch DMC.

Her husband and she were married for 9 years but we still did not have a child. They went to see a doctor and had artificial fertilization twice but they failed. The doctor suggested them to utilize the test tube baby process. Which process of a soul’s birth occurred during the procedure of the test tube birth?
